Trip to St Louis

The Army has come up with a program for all deployed Soldiers called the Yellow Ribbon. There are 7 events some are prior to deployment and some are after deployment. These conferences are for the Soldiers and their families and friends to help in the transition of having a Soldier home again. Pat and I have to attend 3 of these and we were fortunate our first one was in St Louis, MO. We packed up the boys and flew for a weekend and the best part is my family drove to St Louis for the weekend.

Dad, Ann-Marie, Nate, Matthew and Lauren all stayed the weekend with us in St Louis and while Pat and I were in classes, Colby and Austin got to spend the day with their cousins. We we made it to the zoo which was really neat and the boys went to the city museum which is apparently so much fun. On our last day we headed to the Arch.
The boys were amazed at how much they could see from the top of the arch and how high up we were. It had been a long time since I had been to St Louis but since Nate is from that area his parents also got to have dinner with all of us. It's always nice to be sent to an area where we have family since we don't get to visit very often.
