Happy 3rd Birthday Colby and Austin

Three years ago on the 21st of May, it was one of the most wonderful but scary days of my life. That is when I delivered Colby (2.5lbs) and Austin (2.13lbs) who were only 28 weeks. They have given me more joy and love than I ever could have imagined over the past 3 years. I have learned so much from them especially patience and they will never truly know how much I love them until they have kids of their own. I am amazed each day at how much they are growing and all the new things they are learning (some good and some not so good)
Here are a few pics of their birthday party that was kind of last minute planning. I had hoped to kind of skip the whole party thing this year since Pat was gone but all the boys kept talking about was their party. So with the help of wonderful friends we were able to pull it off. Thank you guys!

Happy 3rd Birthday! I love you so much and I thank you for all the memories. I look forward to seeing how much you grow over the next year.

Mother's Day Weekend

What a beatiful family, I am so blessed and thankful.
Here comes the boys...I am not sure Colby was thrilled about the flowers. Mommy is sleeping.
Mommy is not sleeping any more! And they got me a nice card.
The funny part is, Austin kept telling me Happy Birthday all day.
Salt Lake's Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is always on Mother's Day Weekend. We look forward to it every year and our family has been participating in honor of my Mom who was diagnosed over 17 year ago. It's an awesome event and one that I am proud to support every year. The boys called the race a parade so they rode most of the way waving at people. Next year I won't have my racing partner, Pat, so I'll have to get a little team together.

I wear the same picture every year and if you could see my hairstyle you would know I've done many of these, but I know my mom would be proud.

Pat's Birthday Weekend

May is a crazy month for us with Pat's birthday, Mother's Day and the boys' birthdays not to mention several more in our family. We celebrated Pat's birthday at one of our Family Favorites...Old Spaghetti Factory. Not only is it very family friendly but we all love the food. The boys told the waiter is was Daddy's birthday so of course they sang to Pat and the boys loved it. I kept reminding Pat his birthday is not about him....sorry but it's about what the kids do for him and plan for him. Heck he was lucky it wasn't McDonald's.

Austin had to give his present first and Colby patiently waited.

At dinner.....yes they were ready to go to the party.

Also on his birthday weekend his football team had a BBQ and him a birthday cake. They were called the Woods Cross Longhorns.

The boys had a blast.

Austin learned a new way to swing...on his belly.

Not exactly sure what Colby is doing here but he was having fun.

Free time...What free time?

Since Pat has been gone to training in Wisconsin I am starting to see that I will have very little free time to blog which I really enjoy. I will do my best but if it's been awhile between blogs probably means I am non-stop with my job, raising my family and still being in the Reserves.
Let's see what have we been up to lately. For Easter weekend we headed down south to Zion National Park for some camping, hiking, horse back riding, ATV riding, Zip line and an Easter Egg hunt. We had a great time and there were 17 in our group. It actually snowed on us while we were there. Don't worry we rented a cabin....not a tent. Here are a few pictures of that trip.

After camping Pat left for some training and the weather was nice enough for the boys to play outside and cruise around on their 4 wheelers from Pap-pa.

Pat flew back from training early so we could head down to Las Vegas for four days for my company off site. It was a very nice get-away. We stayed in a very nice hotel just off the strip and while I was in meetings Pat and the boys did some sight seeing and road the train (monorail). Every time the boys saw it they wanted to ride the train so Pat took them on it and they loved it.
Here is Austin making himself at home in our bed right after we got there.

We had a really nice time and the weather was perfect. It's not often we get away as a family so we enjoyed it and the boys did great traveling down. Thank goodness for DVD players.
