Disneyland...here we are!

We headed to Disneyland for 3 days prior to getting on our cruise ship. We had an awesome time and the boys smiled for 3 days straight. I'll let the pictures tell our story. Colby was one of the best shooters on the Buzz Lightyear ride

Mom was the best by far We were very fortunate to be able to meet up with some of our friends at Disneyland. Joe and Pat have been good friends since college What a great way to start our vacation. Stay tuned for more vacation stories.

Green, our new favorite color

Colby and Austin are doing so well in Taekwondo. They tested for their green belts and did exceptionally well. Here are a few action shots. They were so proud to move up to their green belts
Austin can turn it on and turn it off as seen here. Colby gets into it and it has really brought him out of his shell Colby and Austin, Great job boys. We are so proud of you.

Merry Christmas!!!

What an amazing Christmas for our family. The boys were up bright and early and loved all the gifts. They were happy to see all the cookies and carrots were eaten and Santa left a nice note. And we are off to Disneyland for 3 days and..... A Disney Cruise for a week to the Mexican Riviera The boys were so excited they could not stand it!
Ready to open some giftsI think I won the award for the best gift, I gave Pat and Sean tickets to watch the Texas Longhorns play at the Holiday Bowl in San Diego
Pat always has a special present for Sean to make him turn rednew suits for the cruiseAustin wanted Viking stuff and he looks like one tough viking to me
Video games are always some favorites for our family If you live close to us, you better beware, I have to new cops in town and they mean businessOur boys were very excited to get scooters....now if spring would just hurry and get hereAnother great Christmas of family fun, smiles, laughs and love. I am so grateful for my God, my family and our friends. I love that I was able to stay home for several days and just enjoy my family and watch them for hours enjoying their gifts....now for the Disney Cruise count down.

Holy Bible, Twas the Night Before Christmas and a movie

To close out our Christmas Eve traditions we read Twas the Night Before Christmas, the story or Jesus' birth from the Bible and ended with a family movie. The boys loved snuggling together to watch Polar Express, as Pat and I planned to keep them up a little later than normal hoping they would not get up so early.

The boys were so excited to read their stories with their Daddy. This is their tradition and one day they will be too big to sit in his lap, but for now, they are a perfect fit. I bet next year my boys are reading to their DaddyNow off to bed they wemt and ecstatic they were. They could not wait for the next morning and they both promised us they would be listening for Santa but would not look out the window or get out of bed.

Christmas Eve cookie tradition

Every year we make, cut out, bake and decorate our Christmas cookies for Santa. This year was no exception. It was more challenging to do these this year as the boys are becoming so independent that they don't want any help, so we end up with flour and sprinkles everywhere but I would't have it any other way! Cookies and milk are ready for Santa and carrotts for the reindeer. My boys think of everything.

Fun times, not sure if you can see but there was not one more space for another sprinkle on Austin's cookieDon't worry, Colby ate his own cookie since he kept licking his fingers every time he touched the icing
Hard at work I hope we continue these fun traditions as long as we can and one day they will be the ones doing this with their kiddos.
