My day to feel special....thanks to Colby, Austin, Sean and Lou

After spending a week in Fort Bliss, Texas for a military trip I flew back home just in time to be with my family on Mother's day. The only one missing was Pat who was still in Iraq. I am very lucky to have Lou in my life and part of my family because she packed her suitcase and headed out to Utah to take care of my two 3 year olds for a week. What a great week Colby and Austin had with Lou. Though she might not have done everything the way Mommy does, she taught them there is more than one way to drive to school, brush their teeth and they even learned a new song or two. Colby couldn't wait to show me my welcome home sign.

I am not sure who knew to use a diet coke as a weight for the balloons but it was perfect.
Austin and Colby felt they still needed to add a little more to the sign even after I was home.
What can I say, other than Thank you God for my family and friends. It is because of You that I am one very happy and blessed Mommy.
Getting ready to take Lou to the airport and no one was happy about that, even though we had smiles on our face. We did have a wonderful visit even if it was a short one.
Lou, my "fill-in" Mom. I could not have asked for a better "fill-in" mom after my mom passed away. Lou has been family for years and I am so thankful to have her in my life.
The boys loved the balloons, Mommy loves the diet coke!
The boys got to pick our location for Mother's Day lunch....when I asked the two 3 year olds they both instantly said...."McDonald's". So off we headed to the best Mother's Day lunch with my two lil heroes.
Mommy enjoying her lunch.
Colby and Austin practicing riding a motorcycle. I am not sure why because this Mommy is not going to allow that!
Austin made me a cake.....I love it.I had a great Mother's day and each year I learn to appreciate my own Mom even more. I know realize how much she sacrificed and how much she loved her kids. I only wish she were around to love and spoil her grand kids. Thank you Mom, for teaching me how to be a great Mom. I owe it all to you!

Big Steps for Colby and Austin

Colby and Austin are turning into big boys each and every day. We have been working very hard at potty training and finally have that accomplished being "potty trainded" at least during the day.
Yeah, they each got their own package of big boy underwear.
Colby was very proud to get his pack.
Austin wanted his opened immediately.

The funny part was they had to try on all 14 pair before they could decide which pair they were going to wear first.
Austin opted for spiderman.
Here is one happy Mommy! Just thinking about the money I will save by only using 2 pull ups per day versus 6-8.
I just thought this was too cute. Sharing a Gatorade but the hard part for the boys was they each wanted to drink the most.
Our latest O'Leary fashions.....
Austin is sporting plaid shorts, striped shirt, winter gloves, Mom's boots, sunglasses and purse.
"I'm ready, so what are you waiting for?"
Colby who usually does not want any part of dress up decided to join in.
Colby has on plaid shorts, striped shirt, snow boots, winter gloves, sunglasses and a red manbag.
I was just happy for once he let me take a picture of him.
"Ok mom, that is enough, I told you only one and you have taken like 400".
I just love my boys and their creative minds. I love how open they are becoming and how grown up. How time flies and I remember when they were lil babies and I wondered what kind of toddlers they would be. Thank you boys, for loving me no matter what and making me smile on those hard days. You are making me one proud Mommy.

An afternoon at Liberty Pary

The boys and I took advantage of a nice afternoon in Utah. We headed down to Liberty park that has one area to feed ducks and one area that has several playgrounds. Needless to say we hit the whole park. We just finished feeding the ducks.
The boys loved all the "lil bitty baby ducks that need their momma"
Austin was not sure what was about to happen so he froze but Colby made a break for it
My handsome boy, Colby who actually stopped long enough for me to take a photo.
Now moving on to the fun of the playground.
They had so much fun climbing, jumping, and running. Needless to say they slept very well that night.
We had such a great day and the boys cannot wait to take Daddy on a picnic to the park.

International Fair at school

So don't they look like they could be from Iraq.....of course they do. They were given Iraq to represent at the International fair.
We tried to be creative with their attire...guess we did ok. The loved it so that was all that mattered to me. Colby is in rare form

Daddy would have been so proud
Thank goodness Daddy sent us some stuff from Iraq for Christmas. We could not have done it without the soldier camel
Their map showed where Daddy is in Al Asad
Colby and his buddy
Loves for the camel
All ready to head to the school
Austin was very proud of his Daddy
We had posters, scarves, camel and we even made Iraqi cookies
The cookies looked much better than they tasted. Not enough sugar for me or the kids.
The boys told everyone who came by about their Daddy in Iraq and ensured they all had a cookie.
