St Patrick's Day

Oh how we love our family holiday....St Patrick's Day! This year was extra special because the boys tried something new. They attempted to catch a leprechaun. They spent one afternoon with Ms. Katy making their leprechaun catchers in hopes that one morning they would come downstairs and actually have one caught. The boys all decked out in green and even with green cinnamon rolls.

The wanted to make sure they had enough green on so no one would pinch them.

Here are their leprechaun catchers that they put out in a different place each night leading up to St Patrick's day. They were sure to have money on them hoping to entice the leprechauns to visit their box.

BUT, the morning of St Patrick's day, there were no leprechauns in the catchers but the leprechauns had been there and made the biggest mess. They had gone through our cabinets, drawers, pantry and thrown items all over the floor.

The boys just could not believe they made such a big mess.

Austin was very clear in that he was not cleaning up the mess because he had not made the mess this time.

We have loved sharing the holidays with the boys this year because they are finally at an age that they really get into it and I love seeing them react each morning at what is left for them.
