We are proud to announce Colby and Austin have graduated from the neo natal program. We have had neo natal appointments since the boys were born. It's an all day affair and the boys would be seen by around 6-7 doctors. The kids are normally seen until around the age of 3.
Pat took the boys in for their eye and ear exam but they decided since we are close to May they would go ahead and do the whole exam. Everything turned out great so we do not need to go back. All the physicians were amazed at how well they are doing none of them had any concerns or worries. Colby finally hit the growth chart. He is in the 10th percentile. It's only taken almost 3 year but he is there.
As for speech, motor skills etc. they all evaluated them past where they are in age. I knew they would be fine and catch up but it's just nice to see it. Our only concern right now are Colby's teeth but they warned us that preemies often times have dental problems because their enamel doesn't develop. They said he might grow out of it or he could always have problems with it but they could not predict that. It's time for their dental cleaning and checkup so we'll discuss that with them.
We are having a nice weekend and can't believe March is already here. Natalie and Sean will both be having birthdays soon. How time flies. Natalie will be 15 and Sean 11. They grow up too fast.

Happy Valentine's Day.....from the two sweetest sweathearts
What a wonderful couple of months we have had since our last blog. The boys are growing more and more each day and every day they surprise us with something. They had a Valentine's Day party at school and had way too much candy and sugar. They were hyper when we picked them up. They did a pinata and sang songs. Austin and Colby gave their teacher a box of candy and as soon as Austin gave it to her, he asked for a piece of it. So she sat all the kids down and opened her box and shared it with the kids. Our boys really like her. Colby tells her everyday when he is leaving "don't cry teacher, I be back tomorrow".
If you are wondering what 2 year olds are saying these days let me share:
I was eating dinner the other night and Colby wanted some potatoes but would not touch my green beans. I ate my last green bean and Colby said "good job Mom, high five".
A conversation between Pat and Austin:
Pat "Austin come here"
Austin "No"
Pat "Austin come see me"
Austin "No"
Pat "Why not?"
Austin "Cause you suck" (needless to say we had a chat with Natalie about using certain words around the boys).
Conversation between Austin and Alexa
Alexa "Austin would you like to take a bath:
Austin "Yes"
Alexa "Do you want to take it in Mommy's tub"
Austin "Yes, and we don't toot in the water"
Alexa "Who toots in the water?"
Austin "Shrek toots in the water and it's funny"
They both call poptarts..pimtarts
In church and school they are learning new songs, stories and believe it or not Austin's behavior is improving. He is still very dominant in class but I don't think he is visiting time out quite as much.
Sean is playing basketball and doing very well. He is the point guard and has the potential to be a really good one as he grows up. Pat is the coach and probably not at all what the kids are use too. They have been doing quite a bit of conditioning and he's even had boys crying because they have to run. He plays every Friday night and they have won most of their games. He is also starting indoor football as well. Pat is also coaching indoor football. He'll play when he is with us but probably not much when with Jennifer because she doesn't feel it is fair to their family if he plays. This is the same team he played with in the fall and will continue to play with next fall and the upcoming years. The coaches hope to really work on the conditioning and basics so they are ready this fall.
We are all doing well and staying healthy for the most part. They boys thank goodness have not brought all the germs home from school. We are looking forward to being off from work tomorrow and the boys will be out of school. We are due another big snow storm tomorrow so I don't think we will be going out.Hope you are all doing well and Welcome home Jerry...I am sure it's so nice to be back in your home with your own stuff. The boys pray for you every night.
