Father's Day and so glad Daddy is home

What a great day we had celebrating Pat and how lucky we were to have him in person to share in it. We started the day off with a great buffet breakfast and because it was such a special day the boys even got ice cream for breakfast because the restaurant was setting up the dessert bar just as we finished breakfast.

I love the boys expressions. It warms my heart to see Pat with his boys.

Daddy got some nice gifts that the boys had to open for him.

Since we had a nice brunch out we decided to grill hot dogs for dinner and this is Pat with his dinner that he actually was very excited to have.

To burn off the calories for the day, the boys decided it was time for a water gun fight. Colby, Austin and Sean all started out playing against each other and it seemed quite fair until.....

Daddy cam around the corner with the monster gun and took them all out!

Sean got the brunt of the big gun and even the lil guys ganged up on Sean along with Daddy.

What an awesome father Pat is and I couldn't have asked for a better friend and husband to help raise my family. Pat, Thank you for loving our family and for providing for us as you do. You are the foundation of our family and we are blessed to have you lead our family according to God's word.

Swim Lessons for summer 2010

This was the first year for the boys to take swim lessons at the local rec center. The first day of swim lessons Colby never got off the steps; however Austin told his teacher "I can swim because I am 4 and I am not shy".

Austin loved swim lessons and couldn't wait for day 2.

On day 2 Colby got in the water. He blew bubbles and even put his face in the water, which was huge improvement from the steps on day one.

I am so glad we did swim lessons this year. We are on our 3rd session and the boys have become true water bugs. I can't wait to see them going in the deep end, down the slides and off the diving boards.

Austin and Colby turn 4

I keep asking myself where 4 years have gone. These are the boys that entered the world way to early and each weighed a little over 2 lbs each. They have become true 4 year old boys and I wouldn't have it any other way.

They do each have a sensitive, caring side and love each other very much though most of the time instead of hugging they are boxing or wrestling. Guess because they are boys.

Colby is my shy one. He loves to read and his writing is exceptional. He can write his name and most letters. He is his Daddy's bestest buddy. He loves his stuffed animals and watching movies. He weighs about 32 pounds and is catching up on the growth chart. His tubes in his ears have finally fallen out and he passed his hearing test with flying colors. He loves the water and is looking forward to swim lessons and learning to water ski.

Austin is my outgoing one. He loves to talk and is normally only quiet when he is asleep, if he is not talking in his sleep. He loves to play going to work or on a trip and always has to have a set of keys. He enjoys coloring and drawing but doesn't like doing school work like letters and numbers. He is a mommy's boy right now but thoroughly enjoys wrestling with daddy. Austin weighs about 35 pounds and is solid. Without a doubt he is on his way to becoming a great football player.

Once again Mommy attempts to make both boys happy with a cool birthday cake. It would be much easier if Lou Lou lived closer to us.

The couldn't wait to have some cake.

All they wanted to do was blow out the candles.

Wow they got the best birthday gifts a little boy could ask for...brand new bikes.

Austin has all his safety equipment on and is ready to give his new bike a try.

Daddy is a good teacher and Colby did an awesome job.

Wonder how many crashes, scrapes and bruises these two are going to have.

Pa-pa got them new scooters.

Ok we just have to teach them to go the same way so they don't crash into each other.

Colby and Austin, you both have made me and your Daddy so very proud. You have come so far in just four short years and we look forward to the future with you and watching you grow even more. You two have completed our family and we couldn't have asked for better kids than you two. We love you and we thank you for the smiles and the memories.

For Colby and Austin's 4th birthday dinner we decided to just keep it low key and just our family. So we decided to let the boys decide where we went for dinner and we were not surprised to find ourselves at Chuck E Cheese that night for dinner and fun.
