Flag Football

The boys were old enough to play flag football this year.  Austin loved it and really enjoyed it, Colby was not wild about the fact that whey he had the ball the whole other team was chasing him.
Dad giving some advice though I am not sure Austin was really listening

  Catch him if you can
It usually took 2-3 boys to take Austin's flags because he was not slowing down for anyone

Colby was running as fast as his little legs would go

Dont' stop Colby, they'll catch you

Sean's Baptism

I could not have asked for a more special Mother's Day present than Sean being baptized.  He has given his life to follow God and was making it public about his profession of faith.  Our youth pastor JC Groves had the honors and Sean's smile in this picture just melted me heart because I know he has found the truth and I now know we'll be in Heaven together.
Sean also had a special treat from JC, which was COLD water.  JC tends to forget the hot water for his special youth.
Sean, my brother in Christ, I could not be more proud of you.  You have made the most important decision in your life and we as a family celebrate with you. You have set the ultimate example to your brothers, friends and family.  Thank you for opening your heart and mind to God's Word.
Here is one proud Dad!  As he watched Sean get baptized his eyes filled with pride.  He has prayed for you every day Sean that you would find the right path and give you life to Jesus.
Colby and Austin were so proud and excited for Sean.  He has shown them the path they should follow and how opening your heart and mind will give you huge rewards.
Sean I love you with all my heart and I am so thankful to have such a wonderful son as you.  You bring so much to our family and the boys could not have gotten a better older brother. You have always been there from sitting by their beds in the NICU so they could hear your voice to being their best buddy while dad is deployed.  They know they count on you and I am so glad you have the relationship you do with them.
We celebrate you Sean and we are proud of you!
All our love.

Happy Mother's Day to me

It's been a crazy busy weekend with the Race for the Cure, Birthday Party and Mother's Day and I would not have it any other way.  Being a mom is the most amazing job in the world. I thank God that he gave you guys to me.

I just wish I could wish my Mom one more Happy Mother's Day.  I always did a good job showing my appreciation to her for all she did, but as I have become a mother I have realized you can never thank Moms enough.  I really miss her, but I thank you mom for making me who I am today.

Party with the Angry Birds

There won't be many times you see all of us wearing Angry Bird shirts, but that's what the boys' birthday party was all about.  Flying, bouncing, flipping around like Angry Birds.

The boys got new basketballs from Sean, probably so they will leave his alone.
Time to blow out the candles

Cannot believe my boys are turning 6....really, where did the years go

 Sean flying and flipping

 Colby flipping
 Sean again
Just some of the food I made and party favor sacks

Thanks to a good friend Angela, who did a wonderful job on the cake!  She is awesome.

Thanks for a great party. Lots of flips and flops and laughs.
Happy Birthday Austin and Colby

Race for the cure

Still Racing for you Mom
Every year we do the Race for the Cure in support of breast cancer research and this year was no different.  Even though it was the day of the boys' birthday party this was our priority that morning.  My mom did her first race years ago as a survivor but later lost her battle to cancer.  I am proud to raise my kids to understand the importance of supporting this cause and hope that they will all continue to race in the future.
Colby and Austin have done the race every year since they were born and it's amazing how we have grown from the double stroller to them actually doing it on their own. I am so proud of them and I know Grandma is too.

Sean's first year to race with us and I know he'll be doing it every year because he saw the magnitude of it and how important it is to all those wearing pink that day.

Still racing for the awesome woman I call mom.  I miss you Mom but your memory and legacy carries on.
