Our fun continues with a carriage ride

We said good bye to Grandpa on the 28th and hello to my sister's family and Christy's family. So I took one to the airport and picked up 8! What a week of fun we were in store for. We decided the best way to see downtown Salt Lake was by carriage ride. So we loaded 3 carriages and off we went.
Colby wasn't sure about petting the horse
Austin on the other hand did enjoy petting the horse
Colby loving the carriage ride
The Magre family..Aunt Anna, Uncle Nate and Lauren
Can't forget Matthew and Sean
The boys were very excited that the two carriages were beside each other at the stop light. They thought we were racing.
One happy couple. I was so happy to cuddled up next to Pat after him being gone for several months. It was nice to be with my best friend again.
Colby was constantly asking questions as we passed every building or car. He really enjoyed all the Christmas lights.
Austin decided to narrate our ride as usual. He was answering Colby's questions whether it was accurate is debatable but cute.
Ready, Set , Go....they just weren't exactly sure what was going on with the horses.
Loaded and wrapped in a warm blanket and ready to see the lights.
Daddy tucking the boys in so they would be nice and warm.
It was a great night and we all enjoyed the ride. I know our visitors enjoyed seeing Salt Lake from the carriage. It sure beat walking around in the freezing weather. After the carriage ride we headed home for hot chocolate and to prepare for the next day of fun on the slopes. It was great having my sister, family and friends in visiting for a week.

Christmas Eve turns into Christmas morning happiness

Cookies are made, milk and carrots are out and now it time for Twas the Night Before Christmas read every year by Daddy. It's a special time for all the boys in our family. This year Grandpa even got to be a part of it. Yes, they look like loving brothers but I probably broke them up from fighting or wrestling just to take the photo.
I sure love Christmas our my boys.
They were very excited to know Santa would soon be coming by again.
Austin is growing so much and is very talkative these days. He loves to tell stories and he never sits still.
Colby is probably the calmer of the two if three year olds can be considered calm. He loves to color and draw and he wants his projects to be perfect. Gee, guess he gets that honestly.
Special time with Daddy and even more special because we had not seen him in over 3 months.
Austin wanted to turn the pages and help read.
I believe Austin was explaining his interpretation of the book

Mommy did manage a lil cuddle time before the boys headed off to bed.
Colby decided laying on Mommy was more comfortable.

Austin wanted it read over and over again so Mommy read it once.
Wow, looks like Santa made it by for Colby and Austin
They were very excited to see their computers and teddy bears
I do believe they were searching for the Internet or skype
Colby automatically claimed the camel from Iraq
There is a new sheriff in town so you better watch out!
yeah, I'm a cowboy...now where is my horse?
Look at the new addition to our family...looks a lot like Daddy

The boys with their Santa sacks. These sacks are usually filled with items that are too hard to wrap.
I can't believe I got candy, I know it's only 6:00 am but can I have some.
What is this? Oh man it a Mack Truck from Grandpa.
We had an awesome Christmas. It was amazing to watch it through the eyes of 3 year olds and I am so glad Pat made it home to share in the memories. We look forward to next year and the memories we'll create. It was hard to let Grandpa leave as we really enjoyed having him in Utah for a few days. The boys still ask when Grandpa is coming back. I think he realized just how busy twin boys keep me. I know he has probably forgotten those days since it's been 35 years since he had twin 3 year olds.

Christmas Eve and getting ready for Santa

What would Christmas Eve be without sugar cookies for Santa, milk to drink and carrots for the reindeer. We had such a good time making the cookies and of course the boys loved decorating them with Daddy. Are they done?
No, not yet but it won't be long.
Just waiting on the cookies to finish baking
I need to make this one for Santa
Will Santa like this stocking cookie?
Ok let's make some more
I need to use lots of sprinkles
Mommy, Will Santa like this one or does it need more sprinkles?
Our final product. Austin picked the tree with all the sprinkles and Colby picked the snowman.
We hope Santa likes the cookies and we can't wait to see if he eats all of them.
