Our hero leaves, we will miss him!

Our Daddy is our hero and We love him very much. Stay safe and come home soon.
Flags covered our yard and lined our street. It was a nice touch and meant a lot to our family, especially Sean and Pat. The flags were placed by Sean's football team, his scout group and our church. A special thanks to everyone that took the time to let us know we were thought about and appreciated.
It was a very early morning on July 8th in fact I am not sure we ever went to sleep. Everyone woke up early to include our friends Lynda and Kayla that were going to take us to catch the bus then take care of the boys for us. Luckily we finally got all packed the night before around 1:00am. I am so proud of my husband and best friend. What an awesome soldier he is and I love him so much.
Well we all look a little tired and a little sad but for the most part we all hung in there together. The boys were very excited one of the families had baked home made chocolate chip cookies so that was their breakfast at 5:00am. Poor Lynda, for them to be on a sugar high so early in the day.
Austin loved his Daddy blanket and insisted on carrying it around along with Chili, his buddy and his American flag. Yes, he even left room for his cookie.
All I can say is priceless..I couldn't ask for a better father for my boys
This was probably the hardest good bye for all of us. It will be a tough year for my Sean and I pray each day that he knows his Daddy loves him and misses him so much.
Poor lil guys just have no idea.....but they know their Daddy loves them
Colby was very proud of his new shirt for the day.
Mommy had to say good bye too. What a rough day for our family. Thank goodness God was there to wrap his arms around all of us.
We are on the beginning of our year long journey and I just pray for Pat's health and safety and I pray the year will fly by. We will get through this because we have Him to lead us and guide us and protect us just as he always has.

Daddy's Farewell breakfast and family fun

Well the day we had all been dreading has finally approached. Pat's last day in Utah. We started the morning off with an IHOP breakfast. It was nice to start the day off with a nice breakfast of every one's choice that I did not have to cook. We all put on a smile but my heart was breaking. I was constantly counting the hours until we left the next morning to board the bus to the airport and on to Fort Hood, Texas. I am also activated so I also had to go to Fort Hood for a week...a lot longer than I anticipated. Thank goodness we have such great friends that love our boys and were willing to take care of them while I was gone.

After lunch and a good nap for the boys we headed to the alley bowling, known to us as the bowling alley. The boys loved it. We had two teams boys against girls. Pat actually won overall with Austin coming in 2nd. He was a lucky lil guy even when he rolled in between his legs backwards.

Gotta love his style The champ in action...wait was he using my ball??
Like Father like son. What a great pair. We finished the day with dinner and some family time of gifts for the kids. We sure are going to miss our best friend.

Happy Father's Day...to the best Daddy Ever

We had a great Father's day weekend. As you can see the boys were very busy at work making things for Daddy. We were very lucky Pat was with us this year instead of being in training or Iraq. We enjoyed a nice breakfast and then off to church to we went. We had a nice lunch and then after the boys nap we headed up into the Canyon to have our family photos taken. It was a nice day but HOT!
In our family we do not buy cards but we make cards for all the holidays. The boys are actually old enough to help make their own cards and they were very proud of them. We couldn't ask for a better Daddy. We love that he takes such good care of us and loves us with all his heart. We know he will always be there for us and that he is the foundation of our family. We love how he makes us laugh and feel special and we love that he is a man of God. Thank you God for giving us such a blessing....our Daddy.

Our new playset

We decided to get the boys a new play set for their birthday from us and Grandpa John. Thank goodness Pat was able to get it put together pretty much all by himself after we got back from San Diego. The funny part is that most comments made by customers was that it took about 8 hrs to assemble. Well it took my husband almost a week. That was the week it rained every day and he had to keep delaying. I think it turned out great and the best part is that the boys love it.
Is it ready yet?
Austin decided he needed to help measure to make sure Daddy measured it correctly.
Daddy had a lot of help....I guess you would call it help.
Watch out, here they comeGet ready, get set, goThe loves of my life, I am one very blessed mom and wife

Thank you Daddy, we love our play set.
