My boys are no longer babies...They are Big boys now!

<
Last Sunday we realized Colby and Austin are no longer babies. We tucked them in bed Sunday night just as we always do and Austin put up a little fuss as usual too. As we sat downstairs we heard a huge thump. We both started running up the stairs to see what it was and Austin was walking towards with his blanket, his buddy and crying. He had fallen out of his crib. I calmed him down and put him back in his crib. He was fine by the way. We went back downstairs and within 5 minutes we heard the thump again. I go running back upstairs and here comes Austin with blanket, buddy and calling Mommy. By this time we were beginning to realize our lives were about to change. I ended up letting him fall asleep downstairs with me so I would know he was not going to crawl/ fall out again. He slept the rest of the night with no issues. Monday morning I heard him start to stir and talk as he usually does in the morning and the next thing I knew he was standing by my bed saying "Mommy seeping?" He had gotten out this time without the thump.
Pat made turning their cribs into toddler beds a priority for that day. The boys were very excited to see their surprise and as you can tell by the pictures they did not hesitate to check them out. Colby is adjusting very well and at night he lays down and does not get up and goes straight to sleep. I have had to sit in the room on the floor so Austin can see me to help him fall asleep. Thank goodness the longest I've had to sit is about 5 minutes.

The problem we are having with Austin is whenever he wakes up during the night, instead of going back to sleep he gets out of bed and calls "Mommy, I want chocolate milk and Wiggles". It doesn't seem to matter if it's 11:30 or 3:30. I've been putting him back in his bed and he'll go back to sleep. Usually when he gets up he goes over to Colby's bed and says 'Tolby get up, Tolby get up". Thank goodness Colby is a pretty sound sleeper and doesn't decide to join the party.

Here are some pictures that Pat took the other morning of the deer in our yard and then they walked across our street.

Here is Austin riding his elephant...poor elephant.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Colby and Austin

Where has two years gone? I can't believe my boys are two today. I am truly amazed at how well they have done and continue to do. We had a wonderful party for the boys on Saturday. The theme was one of their favorites, Backyardigans. Here are their cakes. As long as you think it looks like Pablo, then I was successful. They each had their own cake as well. We also had a blow up toy that all the kids loved to include Sean.

Grandpa got them the lil electric 4-wheelers and they are just now figuring them out. All day Saturday they wanted someone else to push the button and walk beside them. Now they are going all over the yard. The next lesson is teaching them to turn. They just go straight until they run into something.

Austin did his first sumersault on Saturday and was so proud of himself.

I took Colby back for an ear check up prior to his hearing test and both ears are infected again. He is back on antibiotics while we wait to see an Ears, Nose, and Throat physician. I have a feeling we are headed for tubes.

We did the annual Susan G. Komen, Race for the Cure this month and it was great as usual. The boys each managed to get their first scraped knee at the Race. I also had a very nice Mother's Day with the boys and Pat. The boys took me to brunch and to the Zoo. The funny thing is they gave me a Dirt Devil little vaccuum to clean up the messes they make. Only a mother would appreciate a gift like that.

I guess Austin gets his sport look and run from his Daddy.

Work is going great in our new office and we actually look forward to going to work, which was not the case in the past.

Natalie and Sean are almost done with school. Natalie finished track, she did the high jump. She did qualify for the district track meet but did not place. Next year she'll be ready. Lyndsey participated in the state track meet last weekend and she took 4th in the state as a sophmore. We are very proud of her. Her coaches talk like she might break the school record in the next two years.

For those of you who remember the video from last year that we had made for their 1st year journey. We had one made for this year as well. The link is to the right under the section of links you don't want to miss. I may not ever get their baby book scrapbooks done but I do have a video that is just as good.

Colby and Austin,
I wish you the best birthday ever. I hope you know how much I love you and how you have completed my family. You have made me feel a love I never could have imagined and I thank God every day for allowing me to be your mommy. I remember the night I delivered you and the first time I held you and how scared I was. Now you weight 21 and 24 pounds and I just hope I can keep up with you. I love you and I thank you for the two years of memories you have given me.

Mona Vie

For those of you that have not heard about Mona Vie...have we got great and exciting news for you. Pat and I are consumers of Mona Vie and have been for a few months now. We love it....it's as simple as that. It has given us more energy, helps us sleep better at night and makes going to the gym a lot less painful. Most of you know I hate working out but I now go every morning to work out and I take two night work out classes so for me that is 7 trips to the gym in one week. I could not do that without the active Mona Vie.

A recent study* shows that drinking four ounces of MonaVie Active on a daily basis can help enhance your body’s antioxidant capacity and ability to fight free radicals. In fact, four ounces of MonaVie features an antioxidant capacity equivalent to 13 servings of common fruits and vegetables.

Now for a little about Mona Vie itself:

The Blend...AÇAI, APRICOT, ARONIA, ACEROLA, PURPLE GRAPE, PASSION FRUIT, CAMU CAMU, BANANA, LYCHEE FRUIT, NASHI PEAR, KIWI, POMEGRANATE, PRUNE, WOLFBERRY, PEAR, BILBERRY, CRANBERRY, BLUEBERRY, WHITE GRAPE.

With a blend of 19 fruits, including açai, MonaVie is a unique and delicious nutritional beverage.

The açai berry is the foundation of the MonaVie blend, but with literally thousands of phytonutrients and antioxidants found in nature’s fresh fruits, MonaVie didn’t want to focus on just one at the expense of others. This led to MonaVie’s selection of 18 additional fruits, each selected for its unique, beneficial properties and ability to contribute to MonaVie’s premier nutritional blend.

Together, the synergistic effect of the fruits in the MonaVie blend reaches far beyond what any single fruit could accomplish.

MONAVIE BRAND PRODUCTS FEATURE A DELICIOUS AND ENERGIZING BLEND OF THE BRAZILIAN AÇAI BERRY AND OTHER BODY-BENEFICIAL FRUITS FROM AROUND THE WORLD.

Developed with the philosophy of Balance-Variety-Moderation, MonaVie delivers a wide array of phytonutrients and antioxidants to help you maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. MonaVie Active contains the added benefits of glucosamine, which has been scientifically shown to promote healthy joint function. In addition to its premier juice blends, MonaVie offers two convenient gel options-Original and Active. Formulated to deliver the same remarkable benefits as their juice counterparts, these nutritious gels perfectly complement your daily diet-anytime, anywhere. Individuals who regularly consume MonaVie Active have reported an increase in energy, better health, an overall sense of well being, and a decrease in minor aches and pains associated with exercise, over-exertion, and everyday living.*

AÇAI IN THE NEWS
Oprah.com lists açai as the world’s No. 1 superfood.

The London Times boasts,
“Açai [has] the nutritional content that makes other fruits blush with inadequacy.”

My cuties....

I have quite a bit to catch you up on. Pat and I have made a big move in our Real Estate Career. We changed companies and have moved to Prudential Utah Real Estate. Our office is less than 3 miles from our home and it's wonderful. It's so nice to work so close to home and we'll be close to the boys when they start school in July. Our office is great and we are actually working with 4 other agents who use to be at Century 21 with us. The Prudential office is new so many relocated to work closer to their homes. We've officially been here a week and are pretty much settled in. We are still with relocation so remember if you know anyone wanting to buy or sell we can help them regardless of what state they are in.

I had my first drill weekend with the Army Reserves and I drill again this weekend. I sure hope this weekend is better. It's so different than the Active Army and it's just something I have to adjust too I guess. My plan stays the same which is about 2 yrs, get my 20 year letter and hang up my uniform for good. We did find out our 2 week annual training in August which was suppose to be home station, meaning work during the day and go home at night has changed and now we are going to a training area for 2 weeks so I am sick about being away from the boys for that long. Pat has not joined the Reserves yet and who knows if he will. The whole process is ridiculous for him. He has to start from scratch so we are re-thinking his 5 years. It's not totally ruled out just on the back burner right now. Plus we don't want him to join until after August because we have no one to keep the boys for two weeks.

Speaking of the boys they are doing great. They are talking more and more. We took them tonight to the barber for the first time. Pat usually cuts their hair but we decided to try something new. New is not always good either. Colby did great, Austin on the other hand did not like it. In fact when he got down out of the chair he decided to lay down on the floor in all the hair and have a little tantrum to voice his disapproval of the event. BOYS!

We had a few days of really nice weather and the boys loved being outside. Course it is Utah and we did get snow again today. I am officially sick of the snow. I just want it to get warm and stay warm.

Aunt Abby came to visit and as you can see the boys devoured her french fries.

Austin is so funny because it does not matter who Pat or I am talking to on our cell phones, Austin alway says "I talk to Abby". So if you happen to be on the phone one day and he calls you Abby don't be offended.

We will be having Colby's hearing tested again in about 2 weeks. Our physician just wants to make sure his ears have totally healed from the back to back ear infections so his test will be accurate. If he fails again then we'll deal with it then. I think he'll be fine.
