My Austin

I couldn't resist an entry in honor of Austin and his latest fashions. He has totally tickled me over the past couple of weeks with his dress up. I never know what he is going to come downstairs wearing.
Sporting the rhinestone bracelet with matching heart ring.
Mom, hurry I leaving!
"I will be careful in your shoes"
"ok here I come"
"So how do I look?"
"How do you think the girls will like this?"

"wow these are some big shoes"

"Next time I need pockets!"
"Is this how workers look?
Ok Mom, I gotta go fix
I am Soldier like my Daddy
I am not sure I have ever seen Daddy where sunglasses like these but maybe he does.
"Something smells funny!"
I love my Austin dearly. He never ceases to amaze me and I thank him for the smiles he's given me through the rough days of a deployment. I love you Buddy!

Valentines with my two bestest buddies

Valentine's is a day for Love. It was another dreaded day since the Love of my life is so many miles away but I decided to try and once again make the best of it for my two lil guys who are just now really learning what each holiday means. Course they keep asking if Santa is coming tomorrow. That may make for a very long year.
I could not resist these shirts. "The Ladies Love of Me" and of course we do.
This is Colby's Valentine wink...not too bad. I am not sure why Austin decided to wear his cowboy hat but he was very proud of it.
The boys each got a Soldier doll from Daddy. They thought they were so cool.

Colby got new tennis shoes for Valentine's and he could not wait to try them on.
Austin got new tools. The pants he had on did not have pockets. Please notice the wrench on his drawstring and his tools stuck in his pull up. He is a very creative little guy.
Yeah, we got a new movie.
Look at our party!
Mommy we love our balloons and party.
"I love my froggy balloon, can I sleep with it?"
"Thanks mom, he needs a banana, so you need to go to the store".
My cute Valentines and the loves of my life. I cannot imagine my life without them.
I took about 15 pictures just to get a good one. You never know what 3 year olds will do when the camera is out. Most of the time, it's pretty funny.
The boys had to have Valentine boxes for school so we made bumble bee boxes.
"My bee is going to sting you so you better watch out"
"Mommy, did we make these?" Austin...guess the truth is Mommy made them but Colby did help color the lines.
Bumble bees for Austin and Colby to take to school
We decided to make a Valentine Cottage for our table decoration this year.
The Party at school....imagine all the kids on sugar...YIKES!
Austin waiting on his first Valentine.
Colby was having difficulties passing out his valentines and eating his ring pop.
Austin passing out his Valentines and wishing each child a Happy Valentines Day by name.
Colby was waiting on his Valentine and wondering which candy to eat first. Gotta love the parents that sent nerds and fun dip.
Colby and teacher Karina passing out Valentines.
Our Valentine Cottage. Colby helped but Austin was more interested in trying to eat all the candy.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines. To my hubby, I missed you dearly. Thank you for my card and perfume. It was perfect. Also, thank you for loving me and our family. We miss you and love you. We can't wait for our hugs and kisses when you come home. Be safe and see you soon.

Super Bowl Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday was not our typical Super Bowl without Daddy but I sure tried to make it fun for the boys. Of course they had been seeing commercials plus hearing people talk about it. I convinced the boys to take a good nap after church so we could all enjoy the game together. They convinced me they could sleep better if they were in Mommy and Daddy's bed.
Ok Mom, if you want to sleep you have to quit taking pictures.
Austin trying to convince Mommy a movie would really help them sleep
Last one, now Mommy is going to nap downstairs.
Up from our nap and ready for the game.
Mommy you already took my picture
Ok Mommy this is it!
Austin making sure Mommy gets her picture taken too
OK Austin, let Mommy eat
He was very happy to see pizza for dinner
Not exactly sure what he was thinking but loved his expression
Nothing like a lil pizza sauce around the mouth
Blowing the pizza in case it was too hot

Colby was big time since he had a big cup with a straw
Colby's favorite meal....pizza
Colby was very excited to see helmets on his plate and football napkins.
We wish more than anything that Pat could have been with us but we did the best we could to enjoy the day.
